long time no c man.. i can't believe my last entry was 4 mths ago! my apologies to any whom checked for posts at tis lazy person's site regularly.. hehe.. well, juz finished my 3 mths hols.. i sold shoes then bags then back to shoes.. met a lot of new frenz.. it was fun working.. i mean, working itself is not tat interesting.. i dun reali lik working (i actually prefer studying! lol..) but it's the pple ard u tat makes it enjoyable.. yep yep.. haha..

it's ivp season tis sem so other than sch, gonna hav trainings.. hence i decided not to take another elective.. it's reali hard to choose an elective tat's easy to score yet doesnt clash in exam dates n other modules n trainings n still hav vacancy.. i need to pull up my gpa so it's impt tat i do as well as i can for my electives cos core modules r gonna get tougher.. i wanna do well in netball too cos i'm 21 le~ i think there's a lot of areas i can improve on.. i wanna know how far i can go n reach my limit.. moreover, sports life is short.. my physical abilities r gonna start declining in maybe 3 yrs? but definitely not gonna hu lue my studies cos it's for the benefit of my "farther future".. haha.. must jia you!! gotta try to take things easy n juz try my best..

i like wat jiaolian said today.. he asked, "how well r ur current stamina? if i ask u to run on the track now, how many rds can u complete?" the avg ans was 8.. so he continued, "then do u think u'll collapse n die if i ask u to complete 10 rds? or 11 rds?" well, ans is definitely no.. "yes, u all will start to get jelly-legs n get very tired but no, u won't die because of it, n u'll complete tat 11 rds for me. but if i were to tell u to run 6 rds, u'll start feeling very tired by the 5th cos ur body know's it's the last rd n u'll start to lose ur focus. there is actually no limit to it. it comes down to ur determination n how far u r willing to go n how hard u keep urself going..."

he gave another example.. "if i ask a high shooting percentage shooter to put in 10 continuous shots, she may be able to put in the first 9. but when she reaches the 10th n if i were to say 'tis is the last shot', there is a high probability tat she'll miss. she would hav lost her focus cos she knows it's the last shot n she relaxed. but if i were to ask her to put in 12 continuous shots, her 10th shot is probably as gd as her 9th."

well, i find it very true.. n it applies to other events in life too.. the exams r a gd example.. i think most pple, including meself of cos, lose concentration when it reaches the last paper cos our mind says we r tired from working hard to so long n since it's the last paper, maybe we can relax a bit.. n so we might not do as well as we could hav if we juz persevered to the end.. tis is not easy but must learn!

my 21st bday!! i had the most memorable celebration last nite and of cos fun and enjoyable celebrations today.. i never thought i'll feel that 21st bday is an important occasion until yest.. my mom planned a party for me inviting 40 relatives and very few frenz.. sorry i couldnt invite a more frenz cos my house is too small to accomodate more than 50 pple..

first, let me say my thanks.. haha.. million thanks to mommy for planning such a grand party for me.. i was reali super duper touched to see most of my relatives coming (thanks for attending!).. gave me big angbaos.. n most imptly, surrounded me n sang me such a loud n heart-warming bday song! i almost wanted to cry (which i did in my rm aftr tat.. n even when i thk of it now, tears will start swarming in my eyes..) hehe.. i reali thk i'm a bit too emotional sometimes.. will b so paiseh if i cried in front of evryone.. thanks sis n bro for the beautiful necklace frm SK.. ni men puo fei le! i will make it worth it by wearing it as often as i can! thanks daddy too for the pretty swatch watch.. love it a lot.. oh, n the huge, nice-looking n delicious cake! thanks loads to my aunt for getting me a cool purple specs!! evryone's been complaining my old roundish de.. haha..

thanks ame, kit, sl, pl, hy n pat for turning up! thanks all n ch too for ur presents! i like them a lot.. thanks for getting wat i was hoping to have, a nice wallet -- a beautiful black braun buffel (bbbb) one leh! haha.. -- though it was last yr tat i mentioned i needed a purse n i dint hint anythg this yr.. reali glad tat u guys rmb! thanks ame, kit n ch for the pretty bag n blouse (i think).. so lady! i thk i dare to wear it out ba (a bit "lu") as long as it's the right occasion! hee..

gee.. it's the first time after quite long tat i've felt such happiness n.. importance! haha.. it's such a wonderful feeling n an exhilarating experience which i would definitely regret not having.. (though gotta clean up after tat..) reali glad that mommy insisted in organising this event for me.. thanks mommy again!!

sharon, yq, xm, rama n brian organised a little celebration for me today though all had classes to attend aftr tat, revisions to do with the exams coming.. thank u!! i had a delicious choc cake n nike vouchers enough for me to get a pair of new sport shoes! haha.. thanks all n jeri, sokling, weichao, roland n zhenwei for the vouchers! plus additional thanks to yq, sharon, xm, rama n jeri for the 2 hao kan de converse tees!! really appreciate all ur effort to let me hav an enjoyable time..

roomie, ah min, tj n leon got me pizzas for dinner.. yummy~ (but feel so guilty cos i ate so much cake n unhealthy food these 2 days! hmm, nvm, once in a lifetime occasion rite? hee..) then jean brought a nice blackforest cake in n we had a bit of cake messing session aftr tat (n an a little funny but scary incident.. lol! i had fun..) thank u for giving me such an enjoyable time.. thanks a lot ah qi n ah min for taking time despite ur testS tmr to find me a nice nike jacket as bday gift.. thanks all, ah qi, ah min, jean, tj, leon (thank u for the nice compilation of family photos n choc too!), yihao, jimmy, mojo, lingxin n zanet, for the lovely present!! i like it bueli much!

hmm.. so wat do i feel abt my first day in adulthood? it's definitely a nice start.. with so many pple with me.. will try to clear the excess childishness -- i still thk i'm not mature at all n calling me an adult is still inappropriate.. dun feel lik one at all! haha.. -- gotta learn to be more sensitive to stuffs i thk.. it seems my nature not to care much sometimes.. even at times when such ignorance will make frenz drift further.. in other words, i gotta practice how to build a nice, happy n close social circle! haha.. so thanks to all whom didnt abandon me when i seem to be in my own world.. n for all ur support, encourgements n help when i needed them.. thank u! =)

this have been the busiest hol for me.. filled with trainings and games -- be it for IVP, SBS or Hall.. hardly much time left to go out with frens.. must guo a chong shi de hols! so gotta try to meet up more frens..

my exams start nxt wk n i can honestly confess that i hv no confidence in doing well.. i feel so unprepared! moreover, ntu is kind enough to not give us any study break n i hv 2 reports due nxt wk.. wow, tt reali helps.. haiz.. shall juz try hard hard.. self-declared no sch yest cos it was oli a 1hr intro bio tut.. tcher will post ans to us so i went home early on wed.. n luckily, no more lab this wk.. so no sch today.. phew..

i read this film review in FiRST on akeelah n the bee.. i dint watch the movie la.. but it wrote that the mentor had a plaque that reads:

econs test was terrible.. urgh.. thk i cmi.. 30% of overall grade somemore.. chan le.. studying busniess modules is reali not my cup of tea (though i wld like to set up a little shop of my own someday).. feels kinda demoralized rite now.. my bro switched off the main electrical switch while i was using the extension line to charge my lappy.. so angry.. now i wldnt noe when it's fully charged.. found out that my bro was playing com games early in the morn at 6+ (he was not supposed to).. he got a shock that i woke up (usually i don't wake up so early).. haiz.. he's reali too playful le.. to thk that he's taking psle soon.. he say he feels slpy whenever he c bks lor.. n indeed, he has fallen aslp juz now.. hmm, dunno wat's wrong with my desktop now.. cannot start-up properly.. will restart or stop n say error when it start-up halfway..

anw, to the happy thgs.. had a busy n fruitful day yest.. 1st, went comex with ame.. both of us got most of the thgs we'd planned to get.. we decided agst the printer in the end.. forgot to buy the "cleaning equipment".. i bought a very hua shuan mp3 for my sis.. haha.. so happy.. ad by jay chou.. the design is quite cool.. though oli 256mb (shd b enough ba.. thk can keep abt 40 songs at least).. FM enabled too.. n it cost less than $30.. haha.. got new speakers for my desktop (old de huai le).. quite cheap n it's cute.. (thanks ame for convincing me to buy this instead) but my deaktop can't work rite now.. -.- got router le.. can share the internet connection le.. yeah! n luckily so cos i gotta print my notes.. dunno y my lappy can surf webbies other than sch de le.. it cldnt for the whole wk.. but glad that it's ok le.. haha..

2nd, met up with poly frenz.. some of the guys lost so much weight.. glad for them.. all of them must b reali fit now.. tanned too.. haha.. thk evry1 changed in one way or another.. at least it seems that evry stayed "gd".. enjoyed myself though i dint spend a lot of time with them (kinda relieved cos i heard that they wasn't enjoying themselves - in terms of service n food - at the glass house).. i went for my hall production musical called "des reves" ("dreams" in french).. it was quite an experience.. i've oli went for a musical once.. sec sch production.. it was gd too.. can c that the students put in a lot of effort.. n they reali did evrythg by themselves! songs, script, dance steps.. all quite talented in acting too.. haha.. had a reali fun day yest other than carrying heavy IT stuffs ard (shoulders aching le)..

a fun & exciting day today.. first time i drove a group of frenz out.. haha.. quite cool.. but it definitely seems funny to others.. 3 girls at lorry front with a gp of guys at the back.. ame says lik it looks lik we're driving construction workers.. lol.. n i think it's amusing for ppl to c a girl driving a lorry too.. can c fr shocked driver faces when i passed by.. some even tried to get a closer look lor.. haha.. so funny..

training tonight had lots of laughs too.. mainly cos of farhana.. so blurr! n all her funny actions..

haha.. above was a draft i saved on 10/11/2005.. tt was lik almost 9 mths ago! n in less than 2 more mths, i can take down my P-plate le! time reali flies.. haha.. well, i made it into uni! (though i had help from netball.. hee.. but who cares.. juz gotta work hard now n prove that i'm worth it..)

it's almost the end of my 3rd wk.. so far so gd.. been rather slack.. my timetable is terrible at first.. 2 days of 5hr n 3hr break, 3 days of 8.30am lectures, 2 days with lessons ending at 7.30pm.. yikes.. but made some amendments myself (secretly going for the same lecture another w/o signing up.. hee.. anw, they dun take attendance..) n took up another elective.. so i got the 3hr break n 1 7.30pm off my timetable.. yeah! =P

got my laptop last wk.. was so excited when i was queueing up for collection.. my first laptop leh.. always wanted to own one.. now there's one person less to fight over the desktop at home.. haha.. but quite mafan when i go home on fri nitez cos gotta go trng b4 i go home so hv to carry a lot of thgs.. so heavy.. urgh..

had 21s dinner juz now.. so expensive!! more than 800 bucks for 15 ppl lor.. though we dun hv to pay, i feel so xin tong.. tt's lik a mth salary for some ppl la.. the food was ok.. some dishes r rather nice but some r normal-tasting only.. dun feel it's very value for money.. atmosphere was quite nice n pretty.. service was gd too.. n they served evian (glass-bottled) in wine glass as plain water.. dots.. felt quite out of place cos it's lik those super rich ppl place.. anw, the conclusion is: indochine is not for me unless i earn 10k per mth..

a super gan ga incident happened last nite when i went jp for dinner.. i was buying food when a malay guy at the nxt store says "ni hen piao liang".. i dint noe he was talking to me.. when he said a 2nd time, i was curious to find out who it might b.. as in: wow, the malay's pronounciation not bad huh.. i turned my head n i saw him nodding to me n then praised himself to the uncle i was buying food from that his chinese not bad hor.. i thot he was trying to b funny so i laughed along.. but he began to try to chat with me n i felt wierd.. anw, i left as quickly as i cld aftr i bought my food.. when i was finishing, some1 walked past n threw a receipt onto my tray (i dint realise it).. my fren jiu say how come tt guy so wierd, throw rubbish onto my tray n when she looked at the reciept, she say there's a phone no. written on it (along with the malay guy's name -- i recog from his name tag).. dots! i juz pretend i nv realize n left the place la.. so scary..

ah, it's 1am le.. shall stop here.. hope i'll get more posts up soon.. hehe..

been months since i last came.. cobwebs forming at the corners le.. evrythg covered in dust.. *cough* =P hmm.. exams had passed.. not too great but acceptable.. waiting impatiently rite now for uni application result.. praying hard tt i'll b accepted by nus.. meanwhile, working at iras; screening forms evryday.. man chi li de.. interesting n boring at the same time.. now a lil' more stressed cos gotta meet a min. of 5 batches a day apart fr finishing up screened n updated batches.. n the forms seems to b getting thicker..

nsl season gonna begin soon.. dun lik the selection system this yr.. had a hard time choosing the team i wanna go to.. was so confused.. dislike all the politics ard.. would say i'm more fortunate as i usually avoid them.. hope i'll get more court time, learn n improve myself further this yr..

it's been quite some time since i last wrote.. haha.. well, had some ups n downs recently.. fun n enjoyable times with friends in camp n shopping.. lots of talks n laughs.. C= but had an "almost near" accident with my dad's lorry (phew..) n i din't get selected in 21U (too short to be a circle defender n not gutsy enough.. =C hmm.. hav this feeling i'm the oli 1 not selected.. on the brighter side, at least they invited me for the camp la.. hee..)

the "almost near" accident gave me a shock.. i can't believe i was so stupid to believe the uncle i was at fault n he said he shall let it go cos i'm new.. only after some thinking did i realize that he was to blame at some ways too! haiz.. nvm, a gd learning experience so that if accident reali happen someday (touchwood!), i know i should clear my mind n observed carefully.. n oso be more aware of other careless drivers..

gee.. gonna start sch on mon le.. so soon! frankly speaking, i'm not sure i enjoyed my mth of hols cos i did almost nth except slacking! hmm, i did passed my driving n packed my stuffs at home la.. n of course, attend all netball practices.. (muscles aching again..) but.. hardly went out! wanted to meet up with ame n bern for gelare but in the end nv.. i couldn't make it for ga birthday celebration n sec sch frenz outing too (sorries).. worst, it's the first time i din't meet up with frenz to buy notes! sobz.. drove my dad's lorry to sch myself yest to buy b4 training.. hmm.. but ok la, saw wy there so chatted a bit..

oOh, went camping with my family on wed.. stayed overnite at ECP.. it wasn't much for me cos after reaching there at ard 4, i left at 5+ for training.. aftr that, i had dinner there n walked ard, sat ard, had some jokes n laughs with my uncle n family (it was real funny.. haha..), read n then slept.. quite cool la.. would hv been more fun if i was't so tired n aching fr training i think.. can't blame coach cos competition's coming in 2 mths! i'm feeling all excited n worried abt it too.. haaz..

wow.. 8 modules to cope this sem.. aiming for as much A n B+ as possible cos my g.p.a cannot afford to decrease le.. looking at the module plans.. all the work (reports, tuts, projs n presentations..) = stress! i guess i'll pull through one way or another ba.. hmm, wat i fear is the journey i gotta travel.. reali don't wanna b lik the fourth sem.. scariest of all.. so far.. hee..

urgh, shan't think too much abt it.. how can i get stressed before anything comes? relax girl.. *breathe* haha.. oh ya, heard that ame n bern's applications to melbourne uni r approved! cool.. congrats congrats~ so proud of them.. =D (but Time.. don't fly too fast pls?)

recieved my streaming results n time table.. got into R&D along with ame n bern.. no worries abt being separated during classes anymore! haha.. same as bern, reali relieved.. though i'm not sure if i'm exactly the kind for research but i dun wanna get into other streams cos i know i'm not into manufacturing n i don't speak well enough for enterprise.. so i guess R&D is the best choice though it means 2 more "chim" modules to handle! =P thought i might not b able to make it too.. (with so many smart ppl in this course!) luckily enough i got in.. real "phew"! haha..

rain again.. hmm, pls rain through the night? then can cancel netball training earlier.. if not get to sch le then go home.. so ma fan.. (also 'cos coach might decide to do physical training indoor, which might b worse than doing pt outdoor..) hehe.. if not, stop soon? then dun hav to train on wet ground.. urgh, anyway.. juz hope that training won't b too tiring today.. but not today means thurs.. gee, wat a dilemma.. shall c wat fate brings then.. haha..

wow, the rain is so heavy.. gotta stop here.. if not lightning strike = my com "gone case".. =P that reminds me.. sth wrong with my printer.. think the prob lies with the ink's pin heads.. but.. i can't find my warranty! dunno where i left it.. think my printer is reaching 1 yr old.. hope it hasn't n i can dig out its warranty asap!

Melbourne Uni Fair

went for melbourne uni fair with ame, bern & jw today.. the representatives all seemed to b reali friendly n nice.. well, finally my parents allow me to study overseas but only if i can manage to get a scholarship.. so hope i can get one! although i don't think chances r high.. haha.. trying for local first though.. will be easier if i can make it.. my parents won't need to worry for a few yrs, it's cheaper, kinda more recognized n i can continue to pursue my netball dreams.. =P

hmm, imagine if ame, bern & i can get into melbourne uni together.. it's exciting! haha.. there is the possibility ba.. if so, we may b able to do all those stuff we discussed 2 yrs ago! time reali flies.. it still quite fresh in my mind when we were discussing it.. n to think that we had discussed it for fun -- not too far fr now, it may come true! wow, it'll b quite an experience ya.. =D

anyway, it was great meeting up with them! totally enjoyed myself.. haven't chatted so much for very long.. haha.. lotsa crap as usual n we talked abt childhood -- times in sch n games we used to play.. come to think of it, i kinda miss those carefree times..

i'm gonna graduate in another half a yr n i'm turning to 2-! am i ready for adulthood? if i can't go into uni, can i imagine wat i'm doing few months down the road? -- i guess i can but.. in a way, it appears a little frightening to me.. maybe b'cos it's gonna b sth new n i'm not well-equipped to face it.. end of sch days n start of a new adventure.. new things to explore, learn n experience.. new ppl to meet.. new lifestyle to handle.. different kind of stresses to face.. i hope i can adapt fast..

gee.. y am i worrying so much? isn't it the same for evryone? me n my frenz have got each other to lean on.. confidence, determination n perseverance will pull us through! =)

yeah! finally passed my practical driving test! haha.. haven't gotten my hardcopy license though.. 2 wks to arrive! well, not that long ya.. anyway, i have a softcopy one n i can drive my dad's lorry ard le! haha.. i'm feelin as happy as if i got a distinction for a module! =P

well, shall blog again tmr or sth.. currently too full of this happy thought le.. wow, can almost fly lik peter pan! haha..
